Are You A Sports Car Or A Sedan?

Human physiology and your automobile

Human physiology can be very complicated. That is why we like to compare it to your automobile: if you understand the basic workings of your car, it will help you understand the basics of human physiology.

Your car needs gasoline to move. Gasoline comes from crude oil. If you place oil directly into your gas tank it will not fuel the car. It has to be refined. Oil can be refined in different ways to produce different levels of octane for gasoline. Once the gas is created it fuels the car to move.

The human body is like your car. It needs fuel to move. Our fuel comes in the form of food: carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Sticking food in the gas tank is like sticking oil in the gas tank. It won’t work unless you refine it into the proper fuel. The human refinery is called metabolic pathways. Once the food is refined it becomes human gasoline or ATP. ATP is the gasoline that makes our bodies move.

What Type of Gasoline Do You Need? How Big Is Your Gas Tank?

Your body is designed for a certain type of gasoline. The ratios of the carbohydrates, proteins and fats make a difference on how your body operates. You also need to know how big your gas tank is. If you try to put more food in your gas tank than it can hold, it will be stored as fat.

We can find out what type of gasoline you need and how big your gas tank is.

Exercising done properly is like a tune-up of your body. It can increase your metabolism (the size of your gas tank) and make your body more efficient at using fats. We help you blend your fuel making you a finely tuned machine!
