How Do You Get To Your Destination, If You Don’t Know Where You Are Starting?

At EA&F we start with a fitness assessment or a series of tests that provides us with your starting point statistics. Fitness assessments are a very important tool in evaluating the effectiveness of our programs and ensuring that you are headed on the right path.

Our fitness assessments utilize today’s top testing standards. We test in the areas of flexibility, muscular endurance, resting vitals, body fat percentage and cardio-respiratory fitness.

The four levels of fitness assessments are on the left.

Assessments

Metabolic (RMR) Assessments

Resting Metabolic Rate Assessment

The resting metabolic rate (RMR) assessment is 30 minutes long and allows us to take a closer look at how many calories your body is using each day.

The information from this assessment provides a metabolic profile with calorie zones for management of your weight. The body fat assessment is also included. This assessment is a critical part of our weight control system.

Fitness Assessments

Basic Fitness Assessment

We get the critical information of each area of fitness to engineer your customized program.

You will undergo a series of seven tests lasting 55 minutes to determine flexibility, muscular endurance, resting vitals, body fat percentage and cardio respiratory fitness.

Cardio (VO2) Assessment

The Cardio (VO2) assessment is 60 minutes long and is considered the benchmark test for cardio respiratory function. This assessment involves walking on a treadmill at a low intensity. Each stage we will increase the exercise intensity until we find your anaerobic threshold (AT). A heart rate monitor will be used to measure exercise intensity. You will breath into a mask to measure the amount of oxygen you are using. This test will provide us with information on exactly how many calories you are burning during exercise and where you stop using fat as a fuel source. We will then provide you with an eight-week exercise program based off of heart rate to improve your results. Bottom line is that you will become more efficient at using fat for fuel.

Deluxe Fitness Assessment

This includes all the testing provided in the Basic Fitness Assessment but with much more accurate assessment of the cardio-respiratory system by using the volume of oxygen (VO2) assessment. This assessment lasts 90 minutes.

Once testing is complete we have all the statistics we need to provide you with a very detailed cardio program based on using your body’s specific results.

Body Fat Assessment

Body fat assessments provide us the important information of your body’s composition. It is more important to look at body composition when trying to control your weight rather than the number on the scale.

This assessment provides us with the necessary information to engineer an effective program by monitoring the proportion of fat, water and muscle in a client’s body.
